Ecotherapy is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. It was the subject of my capstone project during my masters program, it kept me sane during the pandemic years, and today the great outdoors continues to provide a sense of peace for me in an otherwise hectic world. Plants are a joy! But like plants, we need companions and in my small world right now, I do not have a great deal of people to discuss or relate plants things to on a therapeutic level.
That’s why I’m joining the American Horticultural Therapy Association!
The AHTA is a national professional organization that advocates for the development of horticultural therapy. As a nonprofit, it continues to push for enhanced educational pursuits, refining expertise, and professional development of the dedicated practitioners who follow the path of horticultural therapy. I’ve started my application today and I am thrilled at the idea of being able to join. I know that by joining the AHTA, I’ll be able to refine my skills as I continue my professional path
