Finding your niche as a therapist can mean the world of difference from being another dime-a-dozen therapist with a limited caseload to an absolute stunner with a thriving practice. It seems like every day people are getting certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Play Therapy, or diving head-first into psychedelics. These are all fine avenues to set up a practice, but the cost can be heavy and since all are so popular, it’s not unreasonable to assume that the market will soon be flooded with EMDR experts and Trauma-Informed therapists by the score.
This is why I’m excited to announce that I’ve applied to the University of Florida to be certified in Horticultural Therapy! Starting in the Fall 2024, I will be an official student and start earning my hours to conduct Horticultural Therapy. I’ll be posting regular updates and maybe do some vlogs of what it’s like to be a University of Florida student.
